Our Chinchillas
Here are our two chinchillas. Taku is a grey girl and she is 5 years old. She
was looking for a new home and came to live with us. Taavi is 9 years old and standard colored
(grey).
He is a charming gentleman! Our chinchillas are lovely pets and they
enjoy climbing on our shoulders, eating our hair and making tiny holes
in our sweaters! Taku and Taavi do not live in a cage, they have
a little room of their own in the basement of our house.
We have a pair of red eared sliders, also known as swamp turtles. They are both
girls, named Molli and Tuure and they are about 12 years old. They live
in their own aqua terrarium and during the summer months when the weather
gets really hot and sunny they enjoy a swim in their mini pool in the garden.
We also have one tortoise, he is a four-toed tortoise and named Elmeri.
We are not exactly sure of how old he is but we think something
like 15 years or so. During the winter months he
mostly sleeps and eats (wise guy!) and during the summer months he enjoys taking a walk in
the garden, taking a bite off this and that of what´s growing green there.
